Q. I feel like I need another moisturizer when I use this system - which can use?
A. If your skin requires it, you can use an additional moisturizer along with the Nu Skin 180 System. Moisture Restore an intense moisturizer that is most compatible with the system. Additionally, if you prefer RJV, PCA Moisturizer, Enhancer, and/or Intensive Eye Complex, may be used safely with this system to alleviate dryness.

Q. Will this product system make my skin more sensitive to the sun?
A. Yes, the high levels of AHA's could make your skin more photosensitive, therefore always use UV Block Hydrator during the morning regime after the Cell Renewal Fluid.

Q. I have heard that AHA's may cause my skin to age more quickly. Is this true?
A. The main theme of a study that was done was that using AHA's results in younger skin cells on the surface of the skin; because these cells are younger, they are more sensitive to the sun. If you don't protect the skin with a sunscreen, the sun could cause more damage to your skin then if you didn't use AHA's at all, due to the younger, more vulnerable skin cells.

Using proper sunscreen that protects from both UVA and UVB rays, will protect these younger skin cells. Nu Skin scientists have been aware of this and for this reason both the 180 product line and the MHA product line contain products with SPF and provide full spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. We are on the cutting edge of this technology and have already implemented sunscreens in both our product lines to deliver safe and effective results.

Q. Is Nu Skin 180's Cell Renewal Fluid a chemical peel?
A. Nu Skin 180 is not a chemical peel. Chemical peels range from 20-70% glycolic acid and are applied by a Dermatologist. These high levels of acid are not applied every day like Nu Skin 180.

Q. How do Hydroxy Acids work?
A. First, hydroxy acids exfoliate the skin, allowing the removal of the outer layer of the Stratum Corneum. Second, they actually stimulate the rate of skin renewal to promote younger looking skin. Associated with skin cell renewal is the increased production of important molecules of the skin such as glycosaminoglycans, collagen and elastin. Glycosaminoglycans are water-holding molecules that can hold over a thousand times their weight in water. Collagen is the structural scaffolding of the skin that provides strength. Elastin is the elastic molecule of the skin that increases resiliency and firmness.

Q. Do I have to use all of the products in the 180 program?
A. The dramatic results seen in the clinical testing of 180 can be achieved by using the complete system. This is why the products are only sold as a set.

Q. How long should the system last?
A. Nu Skin 180 Anti-Aging Skin Therapy should last approximately 30 to 45 days depending on usage.

Q. How long will it be until I see results?
A. Most users will notice a change in the softness and smoothness of their skin in as little as 7 days. However with continued use you can achieve additional results such as reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, diminished appearance of pore size, improved elasticity, balanced, even skin tone, and reduced appearance of age spots and discoloration.

Q. What products is not compatible to use with Nu Skin 180?
A. Tru Face Skin Perfecting Gel and Ideal Eyes. This is due to the high concentration of Vitamin A (Tru Face) & Vitamin C (Ideal Eyes) found in the products.

Q. Who can use Nu Skin 180?
A. Nu Skin 180 is designed for women aged 35 and above who are experiencing advanced signs of aging. However, younger women who have premature signs of aging due to overexposure to the sun could benefit from the system.

Q. Can I use other product with this system?
A. Nu Skin 180 is a complete system dedicated to combat the advanced signs of aging including lack of skin firmness and resilience. Based on clinical study, the system, when used in the correct way is sufficient to the majority of users to bring about the desired effects. 180 is compatible to use with all Nu Skin products except Tru Face and IdealEyes. This is due to the high concentration of Vitamin A (Tru Face) and Vitamin C (IdealEyes) found in these products. There are a few that need supplementation on moisturizers. We suggest, to try the system first and see what particular supplementation is needed.

Q. What is the shelf-life of an opened Cell Renewal Fluid?
A. The Cell Renewal Fluid once opened should be finished within 6 weeks time.

Q. Can I still apply Sunright 35 after UV Block Hydrator SPF 18?
A. Yes, you may apply Sunright 35 if you will be subjected to excessive sun exposure like water sports, golf, tennis and the like.

A. Yes, specially odor causing bacteria due to Triclosan.

Q. Can I use Antibacterial Body Cleansing Gel to a pimple or acne-prone skin?

Q. When I receive the Body Bar, sometimes it is soft and sometimes it is hard. Why?
A. When the bar is manufactured it is very soft. It hardens over time.

Q. Is this a deodorant bar?
A. The bar contains Triclocarban, which prevents the growth of bacteria on the skin, thus preventing odor.

BODY SMOOTHERBACK

Q. The Body Smoother doesn't appear to be very thick. Does this mean it's not very moisturizing for my skin?
A. Body Smoother absorbs quickly and never leaves a heavy, oily residue on the skin. It contains the humectants NaPCA and hyaluronic acid for their unique moisture-binding properties and are excellent ingredients to help the skin maintain softness.

Q. What is the difference between the Epoch Hair Care Products and the HairFitness products?
A. Epoch products were produced to attract consumers who were interested in using products with ethnobotanical ingredients and benefits. The Epoch products do not contain Ceregen. The formulations of the Epoch products are different from those in the HairFitness line.

Q. What does Ava puhi moni mean?
A. According to Dr. Paul Cox, this is what the Samoans call the particular plant that they use on their hair and, in the Samoan language, Ava puhi moni actually means "the true ava puhi."

Q. Where does Nu Skin obtain the Ava puhi extract?
A. Nu Skin has established a relationship with an independent agricultural source in the islands of Polynesia to grow and cultivate the Ava puhi moni plant for use in both Ava puhi moni products.

Q. Why did you make a shampoo and light conditioner in one and a separate conditioner product?
A. The ease of having a shampoo and conditioner in one is often preferred in our fast paced world and is quite easy to travel with. Also, the Ava puhi moni extract is known for its cleansing and conditioning to the hair. The separate conditioner product was added to give consumers who need or prefer extra conditioning.

GLACIAL MARINE MUDBACK

Q. How is the mud mined? Is the environment harmed?
A. All Canadian governmental regulations are followed in the extraction of the mud. Every day the mud is covered by 8-10 foot tides. When the tides go out, the mud is mined. The upper layer of mud is removed and the mud is harvested from a 3-4 foot depth to ensure consistency. All holes are filled with rocks and the top layer of mud replaced. The mud is constantly replenished from the tides and from nearby mountain springs. The mud is in a very remote area.

Q. Will Glacial Marine Mud stain fabrics?
A. Yes, be careful when applying and washing off the mud. It can stain clothes, washcloths, and other fabrics it may come in contact with.

Q. Will Celltrex help fade scars and stretch marks?
A. Celltrex is a moisturizer that will help improve the appearance of the skin. However, it does not fade scars or stretch marks.

Q. Can I use this on open wounds?
A. Cosmetic products are not sterile. We recommend waiting until the wound is closed before applying Celltrex. Celltrex will not help the wound heal or reducing scarring.

CLAY PACKBACK

Q. Can I leave Clay Pack on overnight?
A. Some distributors have recommended applying Clay Pack and leaving it on all night to absorbs oils produced by the skin during the night. This is something you can try and see if it is beneficial for you.

ENHANCER SKIN CONDITIONING GELBACK

Q. Can Enhancer be used on burns or bug bites?
A. It can. It will moisturize and give a slight cooling effect.

Q. How is IdealEyes different from other products claiming Vitamin C?

Q. What should I do if I get IdealEyes in my eyes?

Q. Why does IdealEyes have a low pH?
A. IdealEyes contains 10% pure Vitamin C. Vitamin C is acidic. If we raised the pH, it would neutralize the vitamin C and would make the product ineffective. In other words, the low pH is necessary for product efficacy.

Q. What is the difference between Skin Brightening Complex and the Nu Skin White line?
A. Nu Skin White and Skin Brightening Complex are both created to combat the visible effects of overexposure to the sun by helping to reduce and prevent the appearance of dark spots, freckles, and discoloration. The difference is that Nu Skin White is used for a larger target area like the face or hands, whereas the Skin Brightening Complex is used for localized spots.

Q. Why does Skin Brightening Complex turn amber in color?
A. Skin Brightening Complex contains a high level of botanical, skin lightening extracts, that naturally have a yellow / amber color. When Skin Brightening Complex is first manufactured, it is a clear serum that turns yellow with time. While we have done what we can to minimize this color change, we cannot prevent it at this time without destroying the beneficial skin lightening ingredients.

Prior Multi-Function Shampoo-Conditioners - The Problems

The HairFitness Three in One Shampoo utilizes this technology. It overcomes the fundamental paradox of conditioning shampoos by staggering the delivery of the two components. The conditioners remain in microfine suspension during washing, then precipitate as the rinsing collapses the lather. At the beginning of the next shampoo cycle the old deposited conditioners are washed away and are replaced by the microfine conditioning suspension.

Q. Does this masque also work as a deep cleansing masque?
A. White Masque is not a deep cleanser and does not replace Clay Pack or Glacial Marine Mud Masque. It is designed to lighten and brighten the skin tone.

Q. Why does this product always come last?
A. White UV Base should be applied last because it helps to prepare the skin for the application of makeup, helping it to be applied with a more smooth and even distribution.

Q. What is the sun protection factor of UV Base?
A. UV Base has SPF 12, enough to protect your skin if you are into the White System.
